Most accurate description I’ve seen

God bless this post

This is a very important PSA to ALL my high school and middle school aged followers. This is exactly what HS is like. (Also remember that people change in high school (including yourself), you might not keep the same friends you had when you started, and that’s okay. Find the people who make you happy, and who get along with the new you. Don’t cling on to old people you’ve outgrown, because all it will do is make you miserable.)

starlit-waves made a very good point that I did not experience until recently. in fact, I did not experience, but have watched my friends go through it.
Somewhere in high school, people change. This includes you. If you find that your friends have changed and you no longer have the same connections you used to, leaving them does not make you a bad person. If you and your boyfriend/girlfriend have changed, don’t force the relationship because you are only hurting yourself. You know when you’ve changed because you will be more in love with the memories you have than with the person standing right in front of you, and if you find that’s true, then leave.
Leaving does not make you a bad person, it means you are growing up.
If something is important to you you will find a way. If it’s not, you will find an excuse.
